This walnut mission-style inspired sideboard was designed for a specific space in a client’s dining room. The dining room was incredibly small, and there was very little cabinet storage in the kitchen. The sideboard, in addition to filling an aesthetic gap in the room served a very real functional purpose for the client. This walnut sideboard was designed to be only as deep as was necessary to store their fine China, silverware and large platters.
The interior shelves were custom designed to be adjustable. Because of the very specific function of the piece and the exact planning of interior shelves, a 7-piece place setting for 12, including accessories fit with precision in the right side of the sideboard, leaving the left side for oversized platters.
